— Our Facilities
Set in stunning countryside, Burgh House Residential Care Home is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy later life.
Accommodation
Our residents’ rooms are comfortably furnished and include en-suite bathrooms, along with TV and phone points. Some rooms open out onto the patio, while others enjoy views across the surrounding countryside; but all share the same warmth, comfort and individual character. We actively encourage residents to add their own personal touches, helping each space feel familiar, welcoming, and truly their own.
Common Area’s
Residents can enjoy a choice of welcoming communal spaces, including a ‘Quiet Lounge’ for reading, conversation or relaxation, and a larger, more sociable lounge with a big screen television. Beyond the indoors, our spacious garden, patio area and greenhouse provide peaceful outdoor spaces to enjoy fresh air, light activity, or simply a change of scenery throughout the day.
Activites
Life at Burgh House is about more than care, it’s about enjoying each day in a way that feels meaningful and familiar. Residents can take part in a range of activities, from spending time in the garden or greenhouse, to a visit to our on-site hair salon for a little pampering. For those who enjoy a bit of friendly competition, our bowls area is always popular, and our lounge regularly transforms into a lively space for games and bingo. Whether it’s joining in or simply relaxing and watching, there’s always something to look forward to.
Peace of Mind & Safety
We’ve created a safe and secure environment where residents can feel comfortable and families can feel reassured. Our home is equipped with discreet safety features, including call systems in every room, pressure mats where needed, and keypad-secured external doors. With lift access throughout and a thoughtful layout designed for ease and independence, residents are supported to move around freely while always having help close at hand.

— Testimonials
Mum suffers from Alzheimer's and she has been a resident of Burgh House since June 2024. From day one, I found the home to be well run, with the staff friendly and approachable. There are weekly activities, which mum was originally able to participate in, and which she seemed to enjoy. As her condition has declined she has continued to be cared for with dignity, and her care needs adjusted as needed The home is well maintained and is always clean and tidy. Overall I am really happy that I chose Burgh House
The staff at Burgh House treat my mum with care and dignity. They encourage her to join in activities and to sit in the main room and go into the dining room for meals. They contact me if there are any issues around mums condition or needs.
My Father has been at Burgh House since June 2024. He has settled in well even though he tends to keep himself to himself. There are activities he could join in with but prefers not to. He is very strong willed and tries to be as independent as possible. The care staff acknowledge this and support his wishes the best they can. Overall I am pleased we found Burgh House and thank all the staff and management for their dedication.
My mum has been here since September 2024, and the level of care is outstanding. Staff treat every resident with genuine respect and understanding, always using names and recognising individuality. They show real compassion, even in more challenging situations such as dementia and Alzheimer’s care. Staffing levels are consistently high, and the food and choices are excellent, with drinks and fruit always available. The home is exceptionally clean, and activities are varied and inclusive, encouraging independence. Communication is prompt and professional, and security is excellent. There is also a lovely sense of humour throughout. I truly cannot praise Burgh House highly enough.
From the moment our family connected with Burgh House, we knew we had found somewhere truly special. The staff welcomed our dad with warmth and respect, treating him as part of their extended family. Their compassion, attention to detail, and professionalism exceeded all expectations. Every aspect of his care, from daily routines to emotional support, was handled with kindness and dignity. The team went above and beyond to make his days comfortable and meaningful, giving our family real peace of mind. Burgh House isn’t just a care home, it’s a place where people are valued. We are incredibly grateful for everything they did.
We found Burgh House at short notice, I viewed on same day of calling, very open with information and showed me all the facilities which were perfect for Mum's needs of respite, she loves it so much she has decided to become a permanent resident. I haven't seen her this happy in a long time. All staff members are very helpful, polite, caring and treat Mum with respect. Thank you. It has taken a huge weight off my shoulders.
I find Burgh House a home from home for Mum. Staff are always kind and friendly and do their best even when rushed off their feet. Food always looks tasty and wholesome. If I have an issue I can always approach a member of staff and management and mostly deal with it straight away, equally, they come to me if a problem has popped up. Happy we chose Burgh House for Mum. She likes living there.
